Got FREE tickets to the screening of
Batman Begins last night. It was sponsored by one of our clients for their dealers, retailers and partners. I wasn't really interested in seeing this one only because the last few Batman movies stank to high heavens. This latest Batman installment however, totally changed my perspective. Batman
IS a cool character after all. Batman in BETA mode: he just came back from his "training" and the bat cave wasn't fully-functional yet. All his other bat gadgets were all prototypes and Mr. Wayne was field-testing them all out.
Great acting from most of the actors (wish I could say the same for Tom Cruise's
lovey-dovey). the story is awesome. Bruce Wayne's transformation into the Dark Knight now has depth and meaning. Overall, an excellent production. Definitely my most favorite among the Batman movies ever.

The movie finished at around 10:40 PM. I could've cancelled Batman and went straight to Malate to the little get-together with
Igor but why would one cancel on a freebie? ;-) Called up
Uleb to ask for directions on how to get there. They were at this place called
Forbest Karaoke Bar and Grill near the corner of Bocobo and

Nakpil Streets in Malate. She just told me to tell the cabbie to drop me off on the intersection then to call her again so she'd fetch me. The place was near the intersection so she just had to go outside and wave to me. Didn't have a hard time finding them. :D Igor was there, of course (the get-together was for him in the first place). Francis, who's really not into the friendster thing, was also there. Also
Dan and
Pet. It was a fun night, despite the fact that we haven't really seen each other for a long time (except for Uleb and Pet whom I do see occassionally). We were building up gas from all the laughing and giggling at the expense of each other. And none of us were drunk at all. Had coffee at
Café Adriatico for a wake-upper (or de-gassing). We ended up building up more gas and our face muscles were hurting from all the laughing. Finally, we all had to pack ourselves in Francis' car and call it a night. Sana maulit. :-D
Got home around quarter-to-four in the morning. Good thing I didn't really have to come to work early. Sana makasama ako sa Baguio next weekend. Francis says he has their place to himself for the weekend and since Igor's here, might as well go on some road-trip.
Please let nothing come up for work next weekend. I wanna buy "chongkee" in Baguio.
